Administrative Video Conferencing Service is offered through Network Services in an effort to decrease the distance between the borders of the State. Video conferencing has received strong and continued support as a mechanism to be used to conduct frequent meetings between physically distant cities within the State of Nebraska. Instead of trips which are expensive in terms of lodging, transportation, and non-retrievable time away from the office; participants are assembled in a convenient video room and connected through the use of video cameras and monitors. Each room also contains a telephone, facsimile machine and a VCR that can be used to play videos to conference participants or to video tape conferences.
This medium also has the capability to be connected to a national network via AT&T's Switched Video service. Utilizing these resources allows agencies to participate in National forums while remaining within an hour's drive from their home site. To schedule a video conference at any of the locations listed below, or for a demonstration of the video system, call 402-471-4130.
