Video Conferencing

Description

Video Conferencing through the Nebraska Video Conferencing Network (NVCN) allows multiple parties to participate in meetings, training or educational functions at the same time from multiple locations. Through the use of cameras and monitors participants are able to see and communicate with everyone involved. Because of the equipment used, material such as books, videos, computer monitors, etc. may be shown to everyone.

Video Conferencing operators set up and initiate the session. Customers simply indicate the date, time and locations to be included in the conference.

By sharing services, costs can be held down and passed on to customers. The current cost per videoconference is significantly less than videoconferences from other providers.

Business Value

This service provides low-cost, convenient video conferencing. There is no equipment to purchase. No staff is needed to set up, maintain the equipment or to schedule the session. The service uses existing conference rooms, equipment, staff and greatly reduces travel time.
